WELCOME TO THE
"The International Schools Initiative has been a real success, with the children massively enjoying the scheme. They loved receiving their packs and found the sessions provided by WVS informative and fun. The resources are brilliant and engaging – while being part of a global network is great for all schools. We look forward to more schools joining us in the Initiative!"

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS INITIATIVE
TAKE THE INITIATIVE. MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.
As a member of the International Schools Initiative, you are joining a network of schools from all over the world. This programme gives you and your students an exciting opportunity to not only learn about animal welfare, but to learn more about other amazing countries and cultures around the world.
Through the Young Vets Club programme your students will be able to explore the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and the environment we share. They will be able to share their love for animals and their concerns for animal welfare and the environment with children from across the globe.
As a member, you will have access to three terms worth of club sessions to download and use with your group. These are fully resourced, and each term comprises of six sessions with each session lasting around two hours.
Teachers are an integral part of the programme. We know you have great ideas so would love for you to add to the resources. Whether you translate them into another language, adapt them to make them your own or create new materials to complement the sessions, we ask you to please share these by uploading them onto our website.
We would also love to hear your fundraising stories and see pictures of the work your students have done. By sharing these, you will be helping to inspire other schools and widen students’ understanding of animal welfare issues. Your school will also gain recognition towards one of our awards. The document below explains the criteria for each level of the awards.
